 C-Mart includes 81 regional specialties like Kodo, Kutki, Tikhur, Ragi, scented rice, cashews, ashwagandha, giloy, aloevera, mahua laddu,etc.

Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel on the second phase of his state-extensive ‘Bhent Mulaqat’ Campaign, inaugurated the newly built C-Mart of Sukma constructed at a cost of Rs. 58 Lakh. He became the first customer of this C-Mart by making a purchase of Rs 1348 Rs which includes regional specialties like Kodo,Kutki,Tikhur,Ragi,scented rice and other spices. C-Mart is a unique initiative by the state government to promote Chhattisgarh’s rural-homegrown products manufactured by Self-help groups, craftsmen, weavers, artisans, potters and other traditional and cottage industries and sell them under a single roof. 

   This C-Mart store is located in the vicinity of Sukma Bus Stand near the District Headquarters and will act as a one stop solution for Sukma’s populace to buy specialty and essential products. The Chief Minister observed all the products of this newly created C-Mart and inquired about the products from the operators. It is worth mentioning that this C-Mart is being operated by the Shakti Mahila Group Village Organization.

This C-Mart store has a diverse variety of products like Shabri Spices,Shabri foods,Mahua,Cashews,cosmetic products,daily essentials,like soap,floor cleaners, and personal sanitation items like sanitary napkins that have been manufactured by 35 Women Self-help groups. The store also contains Ayurvedic medicinal products like ashwagandha, giloy, mulethi, aloevera, amla, mahua laddu,etc that have been  manufactured from Minor Forest Produce . It is worth mentioning that 81 such unique products will be sold through this store. It is noteworthy that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the state government is making constant efforts in the direction of strengthening the rural economy. In this series, the Government of Chhattisgarh has taken a positive initiative to sell the products manufactured by women self-help groups, craftsmen, weavers, artisans, kumbhakars and other traditional and cottage industries under one roof. In C-Mart, there is an abundant variety of products made by villagers in their villages, including various products prepared by women-self-help groups working in Gauthans, will be available for sale under one roof. This will increase the means of employment at the rural level. C-Mart will encourage entrepreneurial activities in the villages and will prove to be a milestone in the path of the members of women self help groups becoming self-reliant. They will have alternative income generating opportunities, their income will increase and there will be an improvement in the financial and social condition of rural Chhattisgarh.
